Michael Bofshever makes his directorial film debut with Echo Park Blues. With a distinguished acting career for over forty years, Mr. Bofshever felt like there was no time like the present, to move behind the camera. Mr. Bofshever made his professional stage debut in Al Pacino's Richard III for the Theatre Company of Boston and went on to be a founding member of The Actors Producing Company in New York City. His stage career has included The Actors Studio, Circle Repertory Company, and The Ensemble Studio Theatre, to name only a few.
But Michael is perhaps best known for his recurring role of Mr. Pinkman on Breaking Bad, as well as his starring role as Larry Lighter on the Disney Channel's The Jersey. His extensive list of guest starring TV roles includes Scandal, True Blood, The Shield, Private Practice, Desperate Housewives, The Practice and dozens more.
Michael is soon to be seen in Lasse Hallstrom's A Dogs Purpose for DreamWorks Studios. A partial list of film credits include, Paul Greengrass's United 93, Mark Rydell's Crime of the Century, Tony Scott's The Fan and Keenan Ivory Wayans' A Low Down Dirty Shame.
He recently appeared opposite Melanie Griffith in the highly regarded short film Thirst and Winterlight, a top ten finalist for 2015 Academy Award consideration.
Mr. Bofshever is the author of Your Face Looks Familiar...How To Get Ahead as a Working Actor. Mr. Bofshever has taught acting at USC School of Cinematic Arts, Chapman University, UCLA Extension.
